A door that's grinding, sagging, or refusing to close isn't a weekend project — it's a call to 5 Star Garage Door Service, and a technician who diagnoses the cause before touching a wrench.
5 Star Garage Door Service trains Bourbon, MO technicians on this exact service line so you're not the one teaching them on the job.
We'd rather send one truck that's actually equipped for garage door repair than three that aren't, even if it means a slightly longer wait on a rare occasion.
A grinding noise gets traced to its actual source before any part gets replaced.
We carry OEM-spec parts sized to actual door weight, not generic hardware that fails again within months.
We explain what failed and what it costs before starting.
Every Bourbon, MO technician carries current licensing and insurance, verifiable on request.
Worn nylon or steel rollers cause most of the grinding noise homeowners report — rollers and hinges wear as a system, so we check both together.
A track bumped by a car or warped by age throws the whole door out of alignment — bent sections get straightened and the door is re-tested through a full cycle.
Frayed lift cables are a safety issue, not a cosmetic one — cable drums that have slipped get reset and re-seated correctly.
A dented panel from a backed-into car doesn't always mean a full replacement — we assess whether a dent is structural or purely cosmetic before recommending a fix.
Cracked bottom seals and worn weatherstripping let in water and pests — a quick, affordable fix most Bourbon, MO homeowners overlook.
An unbalanced door strains the opener motor and shortens its lifespan — we test and adjust spring tension as part of most repair visits.
Reach a live dispatcher at +1-866-597-3069 and describe what's going on with your door.
Most calls see a technician on-site within the hour, dispatch load permitting.
Your technician inspects the garage door repair issue and gives a flat-rate price before starting.

"""Second opinion after another company quoted a full door replacement. Turned out to be a $60 fix."""
"""Door was grinding for weeks before I finally called. Turned out to be two rollers and a loose hinge — fixed in under an hour."""
"""They caught a fraying cable I didn't even know was a problem while fixing the noise I called about."""
"""Panel got dinged backing out the car. They matched it instead of trying to sell me a new door."""
"""Explained the actual cause before quoting anything. No pressure, just information."""
No hidden fee gets added after the fact.
Grinding usually points to worn rollers or a roller bearing that's failed — we inspect and typically replace it same visit.
Structural damage beyond the panel itself sometimes changes the recommendation, but we'll say so plainly.
Non-emergency repairs can also be scheduled for a convenient day.
If a repair gets you several more years of reliable use, that's what we'll recommend.
We'd rather inspect it now than have you find out the hard way which category it falls into.
